Opening of La Famiglia Restaurant

This September, we opened La Famiglia, our second restaurant, to the public.

This restaurant is located in the same space where we had Real Pérola, which was our first venture into the restaurant business.

Real Pérola had a very intense 10-month run. In the beginning, it had many customers, curious about the excellent seafood and atmosphere we created there.

Restaurant reservations are often made through digital platforms, and customers leave reviews on these platforms every day, which allow us to understand what customers think of the restaurant.

Customers praised the food, the atmosphere, and the excellent service we provided. This praise allowed us to realise that we have excellent front-of-house and kitchen teams and that we had restored the building very well. But customers also commented on the price, which made us think that the restaurant’s price level was inappropriate for that area and clientele.

With this feedback from customers, we had two options: lower the quality of the seafood to make it cheaper or change the menu and concept of the restaurant. As we never compromise on the quality we serve our customers in any of our companies, we decided to change the concept and create an Italian restaurant, Osteria style – a style that in Italy is comparable to a tavern in Portugal.

And it is this new restaurant that we are presenting today. We changed the restaurant’s aesthetics very little, as it has always received enormous praise from customers, but we made the space even more welcoming.

We chose the best suppliers and created a very varied menu, in the Osteria style: cheeses, carpaccios, homemade bread, excellent starters, various pasta dishes – some of them fresh, risotto, good wine. We will serve excellent desserts.

We believe that these changes are the right ones for our restaurant and we are very curious to see how they will be received by our customers.
